I have begun to believe that life meets me at my level of audacity. The more honestly I ask of it, the more it seems to reveal perhaps not because the universe owes me anything, but because I finally allow myself to see what was always possible. I have spent enough time wondering whether I am worthy of certain dreams, certain places, certain versions of myself. Now I want to ask a different question: what if I simply dare? What if I stop negotiating with my own longing? Let's dream without first calculating the distance between where we are and where we want to be. Let's ask for a life that scares us a little, love that makes us vulnerable, journeys that leave us changed, and mornings that feel like they belong to us. I know I may not get everything I ask for. I know some doors will remain closed, some dreams will alter their shape, and some roads will lead nowhere. But I would rather live with the grief of having tried than the quiet ache of having never dared. Maybe that is what audacity really is, not believing that life will give me everything, but believing that I am allowed to ask for more.
